RULES & REGULATIONS FOR DELHI CHAPTER OF INDIAN ASOCIATION OF PATHOLOGISIS & MICROBIOLOGISTS
The name of this chapter shall be “Delhi Regional Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists” and the office of the chapter shall be located at Delhi in the Institution where the convenor is placed.
The Council of the Indian Association of Pathologists & Microbiologist has nominated the present convenor for 3 years. Thereafter the members of the Regional chapter will elect an Executive Committee for 3 years.
The executive committee will comprise of a secretary, a treasure and two members. It will help the convenor in carrying out the functions of the chapter. Attempts shall be made to elect persons representing different institutions in the region. To expand the committees the convener is empowered to co-opt two additional members if need arises later.
The treasurer shall operate an account on behalf of Delhi Chapter in a nationalized back-located at Delhi, under the head, “Delhi regional Chapter of Indian Association of Pathologists & microbiologists”.
The treasurer shall collect and maintain the funds and make payments on behalf of Delhi Regional Chapter and present audited statement of the account at the end of term of office.
The quorum of the executive Committee meeting for the transaction of any business shall be at least 3 members including convenor/ Secretary.
Each member small contribute annual subscription of Rs. 20/- per annum toward the membership fee of the regional chapter falling due on 1st January of every year.
Only members of the parent association shall be the member of the Regional chapter.
The scientific programme shall consist of at least four scientific meetings to be held in the months of February, April August and October of every year. Attempt shall be made to hold more frequent meets. The October meeting of the year shall be an annual meet at which decision regarding scientific programme for the ensuing year will be taken. The Treasurer shall submit a tentative statement of account for the proceeding year at the February meet.
Each institution will host a scientific meet by rotation.
The scientific meeting will comprise of slide seminars, teaching sessions, work shop, symposium, scientific papers, and guest lectures or any other academic activity suggested at the annual meeting.
The non-members will be allowed to attend the scientific meetings on the recommendation of the Head of the Department where they are working and with the prior consent of the convenor of the regional Chapter. The non-members can participate in a work shop or a teaching session, if permitted to do so on paying an non-refundable fee of Rs. 5/- per session.
The funds shall be raised by way of membership fee of the chapter and by accepting gifts, donation, endowments etc. from recognised person or institution. The funds will be administered according to the aims and objectives laid down by the parent association.
Any of the above rules would be changed at the general body meeting where at least 2/3rd of the members are present.
